What is the best launching technique for a 97 gsr? I usually start at 4800. anybody find what works bset?

 

Depends on a myriad of variables. Tire size, compound, temperature, track surface (grip), suspension of your car, type of event (auto-x, drag race, etc.).

Really the answer changes when any one of those variables above changes. Usually, you should do what feels right and if you've got access, hit a drag strip and see what actually works by looking at your 60ft times. That'll give you the best answer for your car under those conditions.

 

on street tires i usually do that, but i lower the tires to 18psi
