Semi OT: Looking for cheap 15x7 wheels?
Mods, if this doesn't belong do what you must, but I thought I'd let my ITR friends know about these.
As most of you know Rota makes the 15x7 Slipstream in only 4x100. They also just released their 15x7 GT3 (GAB copy) but also in 4x100.
So, JLB Motorsports (a site sponsor) has been working with Rota and will be doing a custom batch of 5x114.3 15x7 wheels. They have the option to get a mix of the GT3's and Slips in any of Rota's normal colors. ROTA IS NOT PUTTING THE WHEELS INTO NORMAL PRODUCTION. This is a batch of wheels for only JLB.
If interested, PM myself or DRFlickner for more details.

I think there were a bunch of people interested in this like a year ago or so when it was last talked about, back when the spec Miati Rotas were being considered in a similar "limited production run".
Many of us that wanted them have moved on or chosen something like the Kosei K1's or whatnot but were dissapointed when the offsets were limited to just the +38. But I'm sure you'll find some interest, just maybe not quite as much as the last time.

The Slipstreams and GT-3's are both going to be 15x7 w/ a +40mm off-set.
As far as Rota has told me, we're only going to be able to get the GT-3's with a polished lip.
If we can get 5-10 people to order, I'm looking at $400/set of 4. We're looking at a wait time of about 2 months for the wheels to be made specially for us. If we can manage to get more than 10 orders, I'll try to get our pricing down by another $10-$20/set.
In order to keep it organized, I'm thinking of accepting deposits for a 2 week period, then sending the order to Rota, and not accepting anymore deposits until after that run of wheels is made.
Hopefully we can get 10+ confirmed orders (we'll only be asking for a $50 deposit to secure the order), and then we can get the pricing nice and low for you guys. Maybe some of you will even order 2 sets?

Have you considered how much unsprung weight there is in the chassis?
Taking 2-3 lbs off the wheels isnt going to matter, not at our level of driving in these types of cars. Yes its rotational inertia, but there are so many other factors involved that I will take a cheaper, easily replaceable wheel (bend, crack, etc) over saving 2-3 lbs any day.
