LS/VTEC worth it in an auto?

haha...automatic haters. Anyway, my friend had a ls/vtec swap in his automatic 92 LS. He claims he could pull on an 00 Si, but by barely a car length. So is it really worth it? I don't think so.

if you can't drive stick, sure it's worth it.
u can always swap the transmission later down the line, although it would probably be easiest to do it while you did the head swap... might as well, u know?
but whatever floats your boat. there was an article about some guy who had an ls/vtec automatic, because he was got into a car accident and couldn't drive stick.
