so i'm trying fo find some parts for my boyfriend's car and for 1 i don't really even have a clue where to look for some of the things. so if anyone has some good wesites to find things on or knows some one selling things, please let me know!! thanx a bunch!

You don't want the JDM console for a USDM car, because it is aimed in the wrong direction (remember that cars in Japan are right-hand drive). I would suggest finding a USDM console.

 

for one thing... the car isn't goin to be all carbon fiber... i'm simple tryin to find what would be most affordable for me to be buying for my b/f.. mainly all he's wanting is the carbon fiber spoiler. i was just wonderin how much other carbon fiber stuff is. and another thing. i'm a chick, i drive a freakin volvo s60, i don't have a clue about these forums and how they work, all i was doin was lookin for a lil advice, not someone to critisize me, egcoupe

 

well ive never seen those parts in caron fiber that u wanna buy so im asuming they would be expensive

 

A carbon roof would have to be custom made and would be over 700 bux for an overlay or 1200 bux+ for a full roof

They sell carbon sunroof plugs at raceplates.com for 350

I would recommend passwordjdm.com though I know several of my customers have used hmotorsonline.com and autosonic.com and had good experiences as well.

Alot of carbon stuff can be found at versusmotorsports.com for reasonable prices and the newer stuff is some of the best available

Honestly, best bet is to try to find a few pictures of what your boyfriend is looking for. If he's interested in the JDM craze, he likely wouldn't want too many carbon fiber parts. If anything, a hood, spoiler/duckbill, and possibly a CF bumper lip (which is probably unlikely if he wants the mugen stuff).

Try to foist a few pictures of cars he likes, or find links on the net. Then post on the appearance forum asking where the parts are from.

Otherwise, the parts will be a bit strange. Like if you find a carbon fiber door, he'd likely have it painted anyway, not to mention I wouldn't want a full CF door on a street car.

Or in some cases, the JDM parts are equivelent to the USDM parts. There wouldn't be a huge reason to import them.
