Was I out of gas or was it something else?
I went to start up my car and it started fine drove it and then parked on a lil hill. Went to start car and it fired then died and tried to start again it fired and died. So I wait maybe 1 minute and start it up and rev the gas to keep it from stalling and head for the gas station and it made it (maybe 1/2 mile drive). I put gas in it and ran fine. Tried restarting it a few tims after I got it home and it worked fine. Im just a lil paranoid if I got a main relay or whatever going out or if it was really running really empty and on fumes. This ever happen to anyone?
The car had not been driven for a month or so. Gas guage was near the E mark it usualy goes below the E mark before it starts to buck and surge(happened once and made to gas station) the engine was a d16a6

Not much help, but i was in this situation once. I was driving down the street with the tank damn near empty. On both sides of the street were gas stations. I pulled into the one on my right, and later found out that my CC didn't work there! So when i was exiting, there was a pretty large decline to cross the street. There was also traffic, so i was stuck on that decline for a bit. The inevitable? Car wouldn't freakin run cus my gas was being shifted away from the pump!
I had to rock the damn thing out of that decline.

when its the main relay it will usually start for a second then stall, then it wont start at all. wait a few minutes then it starts right up (hopefully).
if you dont have a fuel pressure gauge, listen for the relay to click when you turn the ignition on.

Car wasnt driven as it sits most of the time cause it has worn tie rods. I usualy start it up and back it out teh garage and let it idle. It had not been driven in a while so I dont pay much attention to teh gas guage.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by fastcrxsi90 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

the starter will work fine... the main relay is for the fuel pump and has absolutely nothing to do with the starter.

I guess. We are at $2.20ish for a gallon of 93. Milwaukee WI.
