Default How to Tell Cams apart?

I just got my head and it was supposed to come with a Type-s Intake cam and a jdm h22 exhaust cam. One has a M on it and the other has a J on it. Thanks

get some of these from a pawn shop, or Harbor-freight:

then search the Prelude forum archives for "type cams" because it has been covered a hundred times and you will have your answer. The OEM cams for Ludes are not grooved or marked or any such crap like all of the B series' cams. So help yourself.

BTW If ALL else fails use this: http://webcamshafts.com/degreeing.html . I know for a fact that there is specific type S cam information here in the archives that will make that Page very helpful. And you will have more info than everyone lese here when it comes to Type-S cams.

I guess I should have mentioned that one is exhaust and the Type S is intake. If there is anyway to tell them apart by that otherwise thanks for the info.

The exhaust cam has a notch for the distributor. And intake cams usually have more lift.
