Default Fun at VIR

Yep, had a ball.. here are some pix from the weekend. The quantity of offs was fascinating. I had one unnamed red honda go off in front of me in four during the warmup lap. That was interesting.

That red honda that went off in turn four diring the warmup lap was me. Lessons learned, NEVER EVER EVER lift throttle mid turn, particularly not with a big rear bar like the Type R one i have. Can you say snap on oversteer. I got better at it, trust me.

This was the first track event i have ever been to so i did do some stupid things the first few runs. I'm not affraid to admit that. But i learned an amazing ammount over the weekend and by late Sunday i was easily running hard with the Type R's in the field and even passed a few. Its realy gratifying to know that all the $$$ i have thrown at the car over the past year and a half has been worth something. I havent even come close to learning how to really push the car. Several instructors commented on how well the car handeled (despite my lack of skill) and one, after i let him drive it for a lap, said that it handeled better than most Porches he has driven.

Now i just need to learn how to use that!.

P.S. if any of you are thinking of getting the Z10 radius arms i highly recommend them. They were the single bigest improvment in the suspension i have made. Worth every penny at twice the price. Get them.
