Ok Import shootout is coming up on Oct. 2 and my roomate and I are winners for the past 2 years in street class. Ie. front wheel drive, no power adders, no slicks, 4 cyl. Well we parted out his crx. I will have a link at the bottom of the post of his, as well as for mine. I just swapped a b16 into my 91 hf. It doesn't pull near as hard as his b16 did, however he had no interior what so ever, 1 seat, steering wheel, shifter, ebrake and 2 gauges. He also had a mugen chipped ecu, vtec at 4400 no rev limit and y1 tranny, along with bolt ons and a ported intake mani. My current setup is almost identical to what his engine bay was minus the ported intake mani, and my ecu is a stock pr3 vtec at 4500, and I have a ys1 tranny. Ok, now my main question is, with $200 what can I get for my car to put me where he was with a completely gutted interior and chipped ecu. No nitrous or any of that. I dont have time to break in a clutch, so thats out of the question.

Also I have an extra intake manifold. Should I try porting it out and using it or is that worthless. Also what on the intake manifold can I get rid of, my b16 is out of a integra because there is extra crap on the intake manifold. I would prefer to keep my charcoal canister bceause i dont like smelling crap from my engine bay . Anyways to port or not to port, and what mod or mods to do to my car to give me more of an advantage. Type R cams, Gsr cams, Ctr cams.....

How can your stock Pr3 be at 4500for VTEC ,and my Pr3 stock Ecu At 5200 for VTEC? B16 as well? unless YOU have a VTEC controller and I dont

 

dunno, just know that vtec comes in at 4500, and i don't believe it has been chipped, since I haven't taken the plastic over the ecu cover bolts off. It's not performing like its chipped, I don't start feeling the pull until about 6000. And I don't have a vtec controller.

 

why dont u get it chipped then.. its within your budget..
also you could remove some interior thats always free
and make sure ur filters are clean for a good run..

 

Where are some good places to get it chipped. I mean a real program put into it, not just an ebay chip. I have seen pr3 mugen or spoon chipped ecu's on ebay for 200 buy it now, vtec at 4400 for spoon and 4500 for mugen, as well as timing and fuel maps are more advanced with no redline, I don't really like the no redline idea, but I suppose I can control that lol. Also I am running my stock hf fuel pump still, would a walboro 255 help me out any?
