Sure thanks bro.
i just went check this engine out
on the block it stamped 9/8 and the head is PR3-02
so i can pretty sure tell this engine was made in 98'
then i check the ECU harness and seems like it's a 99 model
so i guess the seller didn't lie to me it's a 99 then..

I don't think that is true man. My cousin and i both have 01 R's I have a PR3-4 head and he has a PR3-3 head. I think your theory is wrong.

How could it be wrong
First year ITR is 1997 which is PR3-01 right?
then 98 PR3-02
ITR didn't make in USA in 99 but it did in Canada

then according to USA spec. which no 99 model so then
the PR3-03 should be 2000
then PR3-04 ---2001

... well but i might be wrong wrong
but whatever.. haha..

It is wrong because the numbers have no correlation to what year it came from. PR3-X is simply the stamp of ITR/B16 head.

The year it was produced is stamped on the head itself.
