I just changed my outer tie rods... quick question
I just changed the driverside outer tie rod cuz the ball joint had alot of play. I counted the turns as well as marking the thread with a marker. They are the same as far as length. I also took it around the block to see if it would pull and its driving straight. Do you think I still need an alignment or am I ok?
you are not OK always align your car after
fixing your front end
but dont forget to fix both sides or the weak side will give up
soon

Damn... I guess I'll do that next week. I didnt know I had to change both sides. Thanks for the info. After I get the other tie rod I'll get an alignment. Thanks again!
It took me like 15 mins to do them. I bought Napa ones for $15.00 each. I'm sure you can get a decent brand name tie rod like MOOG for 30 bucks?
i did that same thing too, counting the threads when i took my tie rod off, and i got it aligned anyways cuz i have lifetime alignment and they said it was fine but you should always get an alignment after doing that sorta thing!.....paying for lifetime alignments is sooo worth the money!
