Default need to pass smog

on my ek coupe I have an imitation CAI. I took it off to get my car smoged. When the guy connected the wire that runs from the obd2 to his computer, 2/3 of the sensors were not working properly. As you all know, in order to get your car smoged, all three sensor have to be working properly, if they are not, it will read on the computer "not connected"(I think, if not something similar to that). The three sensors are, oxygen, catalyst, and heat?(not sure if it's heat). Point being that my oxygen and catalyst were not working!!(this is with the stock air filter back in place). The guy kept asking me questions such as if I had disconnected my battery lately because if I had then the computer wouldnt be able to detect those sensors or some **** like that(could barely understand his accent). I had disconnected my battery but that was like on the first week. Then he was asking me if my check engine light came on. It did when I first put the aftermarket intake but then I disconnected my battery to reset my computer and it went away. So then he suggested I drive my car for about 20 miles with the a/c and defrost on. Then he told me to come back and should take car of it(because that would have reseted the computer and give it enough time to detect the sensors, again, could not understand his ***). Took it back and the same problem persisted. He wanted to charge me $110 for I dont know wtf!! CAN ANYBODY HELP ME??!! I NEED TO SMOG IT TO GET MY REGISTRATION!! ANY INFO WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED....THANKS!!

I never heard of driving with the ac and defrost on to restet the ecu ? There is a fuse under the hood in the fuse box. Pull it out for a few minutes should reset your ecu.
