Intermediate Shaft ? ? ?
Ok, well I searched found a few threads but not with the answer I was looking for.
I have a 90 Hatch with a 94 jdm d15b VTEC. I'm thinkking/planning on doing a ZC tranny swap. I know you need to get 90-93 Teg Non-ABS Axles and an Intermediate Shaft.
Now my question is the following:
Do jdm d15b blocks comed tapped for an Intermidiate Shaft ? If so, which intermidiate shaft would I have to get ? 90-93 Teg also ? Let me know.
Feedback is really appriciated and if you have done these even more.
Good Day,
RH.

You have to match axles to the LSD, or use an Integra Inner Joint on the Si axles. That isn't the god-given truth, but I'll check on in later after work. Good luck
No, No, No.... If you have a d-series, you have to get a d-series intermediate shaft. 90-93 Integras (obviously) have a b-series. You need the intermediate shaft from an 86-89 integra. You can also find them on ebay as a 'ZC intermediate shaft'. As for your block being tapped, Why don't you just look at it? I think some came tapped and some didn't. It will be the three holes under the oil filter. Good luck.
I don't think the 86-89 Teg shaft will work. If I remember it has the wrong size on the input shaft where it goes into the tranny. I am pretty sure you are going to need the DOHC ZC shaft and 90-93 Teg axles.
You specifically need a ZC intermediate shaft...not any kind of Integra. Best to get them at the time you get your tranny because they are hard to find.
Yes, 90-93 non-abs Integra axles will work
To check if your block is tapped...on the backside of your engine, underneath the oil filter and a little closer to the driver side, there will be three unused tapped holes in an L pattern.
If it's tapped that is...

Alright, everyone well I got myself under my car today to chk if my block was tapped for an Intermediate Shaft. Looking at my oil filter to the right(passenger side) there are two holes at an angle from each other not bieng used. To the left of the oil filter there is another hole there dont know if its threaded or not didn't get a clean look. I would have taken a picture but my sister took the digi cam today. If you look it does kind of represent the letter L so is these what everyone is talking abouit ? Can someone let me know if my block is tapped for an Intermediate shaft with the above information ? Thanks.
Good Day,
RH.
