help with excessive tire rubbing need advice
You have coilovers, so all you should need to do is raise it up. If that doesn't work, jack you car up and turn the wheel left and right all the way and see if the wheel is too wide and rubs against the chassis. If so, get some spacers to fix it.
What engine/bushings/mounts do you have? If one side is stiffer than the other it could contribute to the uneven wear. Make sure you also get a good alignment.

is it possible that the side that is rubbing is set on a softer setting by accident or maybe the spring is absorbing more than it should (possibly a defect)
i don't know how you would go about proving that though

1. roll your fenders alittle more.
2. get +45 offset wheels. +43 may not be enough.
3. raise your suspension up 1/2 inch.
4. realize you cant be too slammed on 16" wheels. thats why most stick with 15" when they lower their cars.
