other than check engine light, what symptoms exist in having a bad oxygen O2 sensor? i heard from my mechanic that the car would bog and it wouldnt run as smooth and hard as it should if the O2 worked fine.

Slight stumble, decreased gas mileage, very lean or rich readings on the spark plugs.
