I have a 97 hx with Eibach Road Race springs. The rears are 8-ways. I noticed best results with 8 in the rear and 4 in the front (maxed out). I beleive you'll normally get best handling with (on the 1-4 scale) 2-3 in the front and 3-4 in the rear. Depends on your car, and a bit of personal preference.

For street driving, I found that 1/4 or 2/4 on front and 4/8 on the rear is pretty confortable, but still has enough performance. Full stiff killed me on the expansion joints on the highway, and potholes around town.

If you're going to be doing AutoX or HPDE, I've got a ton of different set-ups that you might want to try depending on the rest of your setup; but I'm assuming you're just looking to get a base for street driving.

Yeah, that's what I've set mine at. The first time I was on 95 / Cross Bronx with them set to what I track the car with, I pulled over and set them there. I've found it to be the best compromise.
