Debate over Fuel Injectors! Some do a write up *PLEASE*
Ok i searched on honda-tech and i cant find a write up on injectors. Me and a freind were arguing about the hp range of each different types or levels of cc. I just got done buying precision 780cc for my stock gsr motor, im going to be running hondata...and i know for stock motor its overkill...but next summer ima do fully built motor and i dont want to buy another set of injectors...waste of money. He saying you can get 500-600 hp with just only 600cc????? i find that very very hard to believe...no way...Well i just wanna see if anyone knows the different hp ranges for different size of injectors...this guy has an turbo eclipse...and he said reaching 500 hp on a honda motor is impossible...haha such an idiot...they JUST DONT KNOW MANNNN!!!
I think a good way to look at it, is where each respective engine will be making its torque peak. Engines that rev higher to make big peak #'s will require a larger injector as a function of less available injector opening time available.
IE:
4G63 making peak TQ at 6000 has 19.0 ms available at 95% duty cycle.
B18c making peak TQ at 8000 has only 14.25ms available at the same duty cycle.
Thats a 25% difference. You could roughly also think of that as a 25% difference in available TQ as well.
Ignoring lots of the finer points, the 4G63 guys can make bigger TQ #'s on smaller injectors because they dont rev as high.
All in all I think that were you make your TQ peak , and how high you can carry it RPM wise, is a huge factor when considering injector requirements. Base FP is a large factor as well.
