they make H4H HID kits? I heard that you can use D2R bulbs or make a custom adaptor for whatever bulbs I get.

I too just put my 9006 CATZ HID kit in my JDM headlights on my beater. It sucks though kinda, no high beam and people constantly are brighting me, and I can't bright them back. This is with the headlights aimed all the way down also.

You are getting flashed; because your headlights are not made for HID's they are spraying light in peoples eyes...most HID's are intended to use with a correnct projector. do some research on it around here an on the net...it typically not a good idea to run HIDs in regular housings.

unless you get a bulb housing shield like from an S2000 so it can't shine on oncoming traffic

I don't really care, I see well at night. Why research, the brighter the better.
I have no reguard for others, I just like to see well at night.

my thoughts exactly...at least they see you. brighter the better and possibly safer...makes dumb f#$ks on the road pay attention that you're there w/o getting into accidents.

actually its not safer...your blinding them and they cant see, so they might go into your lane and hit you cause of it...

Why do you bother responding when you have no idea what your talking about? They make two different HID bulbs. One for Projectors and one for reflective housings.
To answer the real question. So far as I know of there is not a H4H HID bulb out yet to fit, so you have to do somthing custom. If your just gluing 9006 to the back your beam pattern probley isnt the best and thats why your blinding on comming traffic.
Either do it right or dont it at all.

my thoughts exactly as well...you can make custom brackets for H4H housings to fit other bulbs. also...one thing that has not been mentioned is that reflector shields can be made or retrofitted from other HID kits so you wont blind oncoming traffic. correct me if I am wrong...

From: hittin corners so hard you can taste my rims..
even though its my 92 Hatch.. i have JDM headlights, and uses the same bulbs as the EF8/9's H4H's.
i know it looks liek they'res lots of glare, but i drove around with friends and they say it isnt' all that bad. it has almost no cut off line though. but color and beam brightness is night and day.

I will get some pics of my EF2 with one piece headlights w/H4 HiD
never had a problem about blinding on coming traffic
if u haven't tried it how do u know??
I love them no mod to make them work but wish I could get projectors stock so they would shine clearer....

what kit did you use? what bulb size? any custom fabs? details would be appreciative

well...it may, but i dont think so since HIDs throw out WAY LESS voltage than standar halogens

the voltage has absolutely jack to do with how much heat it puts out. besides, hid's use many thousands of times the voltage of regular headlights, hence the need for a ballast. regular halogen bulbs have higher wattage than hid's(65-120w) while hid bulbs use only about 30W
