Default GSR and Type R rods the same size and specs?

Im putting usdm R pistons in my gsr. Would there be any benefit to running the R rods too? Are either of them better for any reason? Thanks.

I think the ITR rods are just slightly stronger, or maybe lighter. They're wouldn't be any real benefit though over GSR rods.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they have some sort of pimpjuice coating on them...from the factory. I know something in the bottom end does anyways. I think http://www.team-integra.net has a thorough write up on that motor. Check it out.

yes pistons. what's up with ppl trying to be type r if u have the opportunity to make it better? the only thing i can think of is price and reliability. but for 25 more hp, i would rather just get the R to begin with and save myself the trouble.

pretty sure bearings might be differant spec's. otherwise the r rods have an R on them. and the piston skirts have a moly coat. i had my pistons stripped tho and recoated by swain. dome and skirt this time.
