JDM CRX SIR Cluster Plug
I am trying to locate the 10 pin plug that makes the little CRX icon work on the SIR cluster.
Is it used on any other car?
BEFORE YOU ANSWER I am not looking for the three normal plugs. I made those just like it is described here on this site.
I am looking for the 4th odd plug. The one most folks don't even use.
Does someone know where I can find one?
Make one?
Sell me one?
Thanks

Hey, I have the whole dash wiring harness from a civic SIR if you are interested. I'm not sure how much just that plug would cost but if you wanna make an offer let me know.
i got an SIR cluster with all the adaptors connected to it. But i have never seen a "CRX" light up emblem on my cluster. Then again i think i have the EF9 cluster, which is for the Civic.
I can't honestly say I know what an EF9 cluster looks like.
This CRX cluster has a smallish 9.5K tach on the left,
a speedometer in the center,
and the fuel and temp gauges on the right
Under the fuel and tem gauges there is a little pic of a car.
It has lights to indicate what door is open or the hatch.
I'd like to wire the little car up so it works too.
Thanks

johnny, I will check the RHD clip at the local yard for this plug....also how did you make the JDM plugs for the cluster? I remember you were gonna buy my cluster a while back but i said it was missing the plug ins
I was.......??
I made the plugs from info I found on this site.
Take a set of dash plugs from a civic/crx and cut the outside pins off.
Take one of the 12 pin plugs and cut positions 1 & 12 off
then take a 8 pin plug and cut positions 1 and 8 off.
it fits fine.
I used a steak knife and heated it up with a lighter (or torch) and it cut the little corners of the plug right off. EASY!

I had a dx harness laying around and Im working on the 12 pin plug, the 8 pin plug plugged right in and I cant find one for the 6 pin plug right behind the fuel and temp gauge....what did you use the 8 pin one? My 8 pin plugged into the 8 pin slot.........
A USDM cluster uses 2 plugs.
A SIR cluster uses 3 plugs.
You'll need a second 8 pin plug and cut it down to a 6.
The 10 pin that I'm looking for goes under the SIR's 6 pin plug.

wait what plug? The tach? Isn't that the 6 pin plug? Take the 8 pin plug from a normal usdm Crx Civic and cut the two outside terminals off.
I need the 10 pin mini plug that lights up the little car in the bottom right corner to let you know the doors or trunk is open.

i know what one ur talking about the "green" one. i got a whole new cluster since the one w/ the missing 8 pin tach plug.... if i was that innovative then i would have kept the cluster... ohh well....
hey btw... did u send the signal wire from your electronic VSS direct to the cluster or to the ecu first?
that's the last thing i have to hook up... that little door diagram still doesn't light up but i think it's because i didn't hook the (-) at d1 on that little green plug up.
