I heard some guy with an d16a6 motor with I/H/E and that cam ran a low-to-mid 15 second run. I hear good things about it.

I have some info on the 262, but I haven't heard of the 272 either.

They have a 282 as well, but it requires a change in the valve train geometry.

With a 272 you will have a slightly rough idle, and need some head work to take full advantage of the extra lift.

but i should get more hp with a stock head compared to the 262

but to get all the hp i will need to port the head a bit

does this sound right?

It will work with a stock head, but a mild port job will help immensely. A timing gear would also help out if you plan on tuning it properly as would a SAFC, or Hondata S-100.

if your staying with a stock bottom end...i would have gone with the 262. without a bump in compression the 272 will likely make you lose power.

but i havent seen any good dynos of these grinds anyways, im just thinking more in general...large lift/duration with low CR.

what are the specs of the 282 grind? never heard of it. let me know and ill add it to here...

i am bumping the compression up with a y8 head gasket and might get the head shaved a bit like .020

Nice, yea keep us posted on how it goes. I'm in the process of tryin to decide between the 260 and 272. Got boltons and i dont have the money for any port job at the moment. So if the cam responds well to the stock head and block I'll pick that one up.

well got the cam installed

i am happy so far

my other mods include - taking the air box off and no other mods

i pull solid low 16s now on the g-tech

like 16.1s and 16.2s

the cam pulls all the way to the rev limiter which is 7500 in my car

also i pull harder on my buddy's car that was able to stay with me until i put the cam in and when i mean stay with me i mean we were even

next to see how the cam acts with about 10.5 compression and a ported head

does anyone know how much i have to mill the head to get 10.5:1 compression?

Sounds good! How's the low end feel? Where do you start to feel the cam pull? I'm sure you'd be even more satisfied with a good header and good flowing exhaust. These cames feed off high compression and good airflow.
