h22 swap
I've been talking to this guy and he's really new to the import scene. He wants to help (watch?) the swap so he can learn as much as possible. Is there anybody in the area who could help him or point him to somewhere that could??? If he's willing to fly me out from oregon to do the swap, im sure he'd make it worth your while to help him with this.

i guess its a lot of money but its pretty cheap compared to a lot of civic swaps (ie b18c...), u will need an h22(duh), u can use accord tranny but DON'T, so h22 tranny, p13 ecu or chipped p28/p72, stock accord rear/tranny mount, prelude driver side mount, obd ii->i conversion harness, change all of the belts and water pump while engine is out of the car, also rec changing clutch/flywheel, replace all seals, u will prolly have to tap the other two spots on the tranny for the accord mount but i'm not sure if u have to do that for the 96, u will have to modify the ps hose, length fuel line, lengthen misc wires, if ur car isnt already wired for vtec then wire for vtec, wire for knock sensor, thats most of it right there, a few misc other things, search - there is too much info on these swaps on this forum...
and as far as flying someone out, its not that hard of a swap that u anyone should be flying anywhere to see it...

I would seriously consider to just go to RPMNYC and have them do it. I am sure they will let you watch, and they do good **** and will back it up. It will be better than flying someone out to do it and paying them to do it right. You will need tools too. The swap is not as easy as everyone says.... It is easy if you have the tools (including a lift and cherry picker) and all the available parts ready to go.
Anyone who says it is easy to do in your own driveway is full of ****.
Good luck.

I agree with SuperSlow, just go to RPM NYC, they're in Queens Village, NY 11428 (718) 740-3277. Ask for Tommy. They're great guys and def. know what they're doin.
