Default 1997 ITR#122 Gets a kick in the nuts! Details inside.

As some of you astute people have noticed, I have been selling some parts off my ITR. About a half an hour ago, I called my dad who lives in Phoenix to shoot the **** with him.

When i picked up this car a couple weeks ago; Len, Jason, Umar and I put on some JDM Buddy Club coil overs that I had imported from Japan. I drove from Georgia to Arizona with these installed and by the time I got there, I thought my innards were shot due to the stiffness of the setup. 12kg front 10kg rear.

I took them off at my dads place, put them in a box and said "Dad, I'll be sending for these in a couple weeks" and set them on his work bench. He must have forgotten this because when I was talking to him today I said "Those coil overs...in the box, I have a buyer and need to ship them." Pause......followed by silence....."Um, Son. I threw them away. The box had some oil on it. So I brought them to work and pitched them in the bin." "They should be in the land fill by now, sorry."

So...I'm out about grand and was going to use the money to put on new coilovers with better dampening and softer spring rates. That idea just went up in smoke. I can't be mad at him though. I love the guy too much.

Anyone have any USED Teins they want to sell? Possible stock ITR suspension trade?

Sounds like it's your dad that needs the kick in the nuts. Why on earth would he throw something like that away without asking first?

LOL, damn that sucks. Sorry to hear.

BTW those are some odd looking buddy clubs compared to the ones they are putting out now. Are they... err... WERE they an older model?

They were slightly older. They only had about 6,000 miles on them.

I'm a pretty patient guy. I consider myself to be level headed. For all the **** my dad put up with while I was growing up... It's no big deal, it's only material objects.

sue him , nah i'd react the same way if my dad did that. 1,000 bones is nothing compared to the amount of money he's given me (school, etc) over the last 20 years.

Ummmm.....jeez dude. I woulda at least looked in the box before throwing them away. It's not like you can't tell the difference between empty boxes and ones with coilovers in em. But yeah......you are patient. If that were my dad I'd kick his ***.

Hey Brando how long till you bring the car home. Watch out for the longshoremen in Seattle, they'll do hot laps with your R. Got 14 years in that state i know all the boys that worked there, they tore cars up.
