At my school in auto mechanics this teacher is giving a freshly painted 96 hood away because one of the students put a small dent in it. I can take it and pull it out cuz it's really small. The hood i have on the car now is dented up pretty good by the previous owner. I'm slowly trying to get the car back in good shape. So all i need to know is will the 96 hood fit on my 94?

they look exactly the same. Do they just not line up right or what? I would be getting it for free so i'd like if it did fit cuz like i said the guy before me dented it up a lil bit.

 

look the same doesn't mean they fit the same. the first person to reply gave you your answer, what more do you want?

 

Get the hood and sell it. It will not fit on a 92-95 civic. Look at where it meets the headlights. Totally different.

 

DUDE, 94 is a 5th gen civic, 96 is a 6th gen. TOTALLY different shape, no way in hell they will fit, search for pics.

 

Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the 92-95 front end not have an upper grill and the 96-00 do? therefore eliminating any possiblility of interchangeability?

 

plus, notice that a 96 civic has that grill insert b/w the front bumper and the hood, and the headlights are TOTALLY different. just get it and sell it for like 75 bucks

 

92-95 civics look completely different than 96-98
