Help me out, need to choose a racin seat for a REALLY BIG GUY...
i am not sure if i am in the right forum, if not, please let me know where else to post it..
I am 6'5 and weigh 240, which seat should i consider??
i sat in torino and evo1 and felt a lil tight...
prefer reclinable, becos i am worried that the non reclinable ones will sit up pretty straight on my back, and my head will touch the roof of my 99 civic coupe...
i might have to ware a helmet too... so i dont wanna tilt my head side ways when i auto cross...
i dont have problems with my stock seats with a helmet on, but i swing everywhere when i autoX.. lol

Corbeau makes a seat called the CR-1 and they make it in "wide base" for people with bigger waistlines and hip structure. They're some of the highest quality, most comfortable racing seats I've ever sat in and I would recommend them to anyone. They're relatively cheap too
.
Here's the link - http://www.corbeau.com/products/cr1/cr1.shtml
and a pic:

$450 for the "wide version"

Whoever you choose, always sit in the seat before you buy it. Most important factor is how it fits.
I had always thought that sitting in it before buying it is the best way, but in San Diego, i dunno where can i try seats out.. i mean shops here dont stock a lot of seats for people to try...
I'm a husky guy just like yourself and I'm shopping for seats as well. I'm tried the sparco evo also and it was a little tight on my hips, my ***** need to breath a little. I'm looking into the sparco evo 3 now.

Yea, fat street racers represent!
For the reclining ones, look at the design, and don't get a 1 piece seat. SOme of them DO recline, but pivot on the front, and this will put your knees at the wheel, I know, I been there.

Definatley. Nothing can ruin ever car ride like a seat that you don't enjoy.
I had a Corbeau A4, and absolutely hated it honestly. I'll never own another Corbeau seat.
