Default Going from GSR cams to ITR cams worth it ?

Been looking around at cam prices and I see new ITR or CTR cams going for $350 a pop... used prolly being a bit more than half that I guess ($400/pair).

My question... I'm running GSR cams in a GSR head... would it be worth the invest ment to switch to type R cams... or should I just aim for aftermarket cams ?

I can prolly sell the GSR's for some money to compensate... but I'd still need to upgrade my springs/retainers either way.

So.... ITR or aftermarket ?

for the money itr cams work great - i have seen 200 whp dyno sheets using stock itr cams in somewhat built engines, they give power all across the band which is nice and a great midrange

itr and ctr cams make good power, but a decent stage one cam will wake your vtec up.

i have a set of 98 jdm itr cams, valve springs and retainers for sale. they have around 20k miles on them. IM me and make an offer.

to answer your question. i would also upgrade to a skunk2 or any other single runner intake manifold to get a little more out of those cams.

If you don't want to spend much money run the CTR intake cam with the GSR Exhaust cam, works great with my setup.

Interesting... GSR exhaust cam....

well...if I go w/ honda cams.... I want to avoid buying them from out of my home country... since I'd need to pay duty and tax in addition to the price+shipping.

Now that I look at it... with my build... the type R cams might hold me back in the long run.... hmmm... any other opinions ?
