Balancer Belt Tension on 6th Gen Accord (4 Cyclinder)
Just performed the following on a 6th Gen Accord 4 cyclinder:
-Timing Belt Change
-Water Pump Replacement
-Accessory Drive Belts Replaced
-Tensioner Springs Replaced
Was wondering if the balancer belt tension should be loose. I adjusted the Balance Belt Tensioner by rotating the crank counterclockwise 3 teeth on the cam pulley (according to HELM Manual). But still feels loose.
Is this correct???
THANKS in advance for any replies!!!

the procedure you used is correct but "loose" is sort of subjective. The belt should be taut, but not as tight as you can pull it. kinda hard to describe belt tension
if you followed the Helms to the letter, you should be ok.
