Default swap help

alright i have a 91 crx si and i just purchased a 98 civic ex engine with about 36K on it. I was wondering wat kind of radiator to buy(cheap) for it and what kind of ecu will i need. and also is a OBD0 b16 ecu compatible with the d16 engine?

if you want to run it OBD0 - use your Si ECU, injectors, O2 sensor and distributor - use D16Y8 MAP sensor - B16 ECU will look for knock sensor which Y8 doesn't have - add wires for VTEC

You can use the stock radiator, don't see why you would have to change it. You can use the ecu from the D16Z6 and run the car OBD-1. That way your fuel maps and timing change when VTEC kicks in, unlike the simple VTEC RPM switches. If you don't want to run OBD-1, what you can do is use a program like TurboEdit and reprogram it to run VTEC the way it was ment.

another ? a friend of mine told me i would have to change trannys? but then i also heard all i would have to do is by a hydrolic to a cable conversion harness? could i jus use my 91 crx si engine mounts or would i have to go wit hasport mounts?

yes it would be best to use a 89-91 crx/civic si tranny....the b16 ecu will work thats what im running...

wrong....y8 had knock sensor you'll have to wire that up too.
