Default ECU/IAB/HIBRID/ Problem

My ecu when bad so I bought a new one off some dude. Its a P72 and its been chipped. I have a 98 B18c1. Anyway, with this new ecu my IAB isn't kicking in at 5800 rpm. Its just staying open (or shut depending on which wire I hook up). I know its hooked up right because my other ecu kicks in perfectly when it comes to IAB.

Questions

1) Is it possible to have a chipped P72 that has a functioning IAB pinout?
2) I know they say you loose power with your IAB always open, but I swear it feels way faster on the low end and mid range (especially after 4400 rpm)
3) If I kept it open, would I get bad gas millage?
4) If the stock main chip out of my broken ecu is still good then can I install it into my current ecu that I'm running?

i THINK it may be possible whoever rechipped the ECU got rid of the IABs which is why you don't feel it kick in.

1)yes depends onw who chipped it
2)the way it feels is often different from the power it really makes
3)your gas milage will depend on the fuel mapping of that ecu not the IAB
4)sure, but the chipped ecu still has a good main chip as well.

Well, I have the jumper cut so I should be running the stock fuel mapping so I wonder if the IAB staying open will still affect gas milage?

Do you guys think that if I swap in my other stock main chip that I'll get my IAB back and not run into any old problems I had with that other ecu. ( It had problems with the data link connector and the O2 sensor).
