i'v decided that with my A/C on my car cant accelerate good enough. what are some of the easyest things to to increce HP. I have the stock air box with highflow AMSOIL filter no resonater.
could I get a SI cam shaft?
i'm also saving up for a hi-flow cat and a cherybomb muffler.
also i live on A/C so turning off or removing is out of the question.
oh it's a 91 LX sedan auto

Well, the bad news is that you have one of the slowest ED/EF Civics ever made. The combination of a gutless, torqueless 92HP motor with an automatic transmission in one of the heaviest ED/EF Civics made is a sure recipe for a REALLY slow car. Especially with A/C. The good news? Anything you do short of keeping the throttle body injection is going to make it faster. But you REALLY, REALLY want to lose the slushbox. That is hurting performance TREMENDOUSLY. Options for increased performance abound and range from MPFI conversions for your stock motor to 2.1 liter B-series swaps. You must decide how far you want to go.
I have a DX Sedan too... The first thing you should do is a MPFI swap, that car won't "perform" with 2 fuel injectors and a TB the size of a golf ball. Second, you might consider finding a Z6 or Y8 head for it.. Just search for "Mini-Me"... Then you can add I/H/E.

Take out the air, the power steering, strip out the trunk of excess stuff (spare, jack, etc), you would need to do the Auto-Manual conversion before you can do the MPFI swap because I don't believe the PM6 ECU had an auto to choose from unless you can find one out of an EX Sedan, and then from there it is all game.

I'm thinking about doing it to my Sedan.

Definitely agree that the transfer from DPFI to MPFI is the way to go. You can sometimes find some pretty cheap JDM d series IMs on ebay and also JDM exhaust manifolds. Just beware that you'll need a new ecu, distributor, wiring harness to run the MPFI.
swap in a JRSC D16A6 (from the 88-91 si) ... it should be relatively easy (not too hard for wiring) .. and it should bolt in pretty easy too.
but yeah, the MPFI is a good start. also going to manual transmission will help a good deal.

It would be, but has been done before for those who can make it work
