okay, well i know the OEM plastic radiators suck ****, but I'm just curious, do you guys think it was because of my JDM ITR header? I'm not running the headshields because it never came with them.. If I have to keep buying new radiators because of the heat, I would rather buy the heatshields instead.. please leave your feedback, thanks. P.S. it's a '97 integra, 40K miles..

 

It did not crack because of your exhaust manifold/header.

Save your self some cash & buy a modine factory replacement radiator for about $150 w/ a lifetime warentee. They are all metal & oem replicas.

 

It didn't crack from the heat, but possibly from the installation process.

 

just go with a used jdm itr radiator. it's the same as the usdm radiator and goes for about $100.

 

I have them (ITR Radiators) OEM for $130 shipped with fans and everything

Sorry to thread jack. I have a JDM 4-1 replica SS header. The heat it generates is tremendous. I was thinking about about a new rad for fear that the heat would destroy the OEM one. I've only had it for a week. Should I not worry about it or invest in a Koyo or C&R.
