Now what im wondering is it something Good to start with. (project wise)???

800 bucks...what is the condition????

Anyway I think HX's are decent cars. Maybe because I have one but that is beside the point. I wouldnt swap the whole motor unless you plan on doing somehting serious with the car...

was this car hit by a semi then bombed right before it was cut in half? 800 bucks for a 97 hx!!!! if ur not gonna buy it then i will!!!!!!!

byw there is no such thing as a "nice and simple swap" imo, if ur gonna swap a motor just go a lil further and drop a b-series in it.

If thats the case be on that **** asap...for that price you could have cash to throw towards a nice motor like a c5, h22, or even k20 swap.

if you dnt want it i will take it. if it has the hx rims then even better. It is one of the lightest coupes of the era. Also you get Pw/PL and ac, PS, unlike the dx.

Or he can just boost the hx motor, and get great gas mileage, or even slap y8 in there. You can also just put a y8/z6 head on it and a ex ecu, and intake mani, then get a vafc and set the vtec way down low.

thats a great deal

as for suggestions of what to swap, first you need to decide what it is that you want from the car. Do you want to make it into a track *****, have it as a daily driver with an occasional trip to the drag strip or occasional auto x? If you just want a simple daily driver and want it to be reliable, just leave the stock engine in there since its in perfect condition already. If you want to spice things up just a bit just add your basic bolt ons, msd, clutch, a nice suspension, good set of wheels bla bla bla. Just make sure the car is m4d tyT3 JdM y0!

What's that I hear? Oh! It's a low 14 second car that gets 40 mpg on the interstate.

I'd pay that if the car didnt have a motor. Lightest coupe of that bodystyle. If it still has the HX rims, keep them and never get rid of them! Excellent chassis to work with.
