I have a feeling that you have no experience on engines
so my best advise
learn first then try it.

if your talking about ls/vtec...i wouldnt really mention the word reliabilty ....most people that i know that had ls/vtec, including myself, had pretty good results but wasnt nearly as trouble free as a just building a b16 or gsr.....like the last guy that just posted, i would recommend doing your homework first, gathering all the right parts, dowel pins, and -an fittings. i would also make sure to have someone who is knowledgeable there to help if you have never had a motor apart before....good luck to you if you decide to go down that road...
