Default knuckles from salvage yard

I found a salvage yard here in vegas were I can get a front left and right knuckles for $100 they came off a 93Si with rear end damage the car was just brought in. I would rather do this than replace the bearings.

Is this smart or should I just get new bearings pressed into the old knuckles?

I would get new ones pressed into the existing knuckles then you know for sure they're as new, the problem with the salvage ones is you might have to do that anyway as you can't always guarantee they're in good condition.

depends on the mileage of the salvage knuckles...i used some rear bearings on my old corolla, but the bearings were totally shot before I put on the salvage bearings...so anything was better...conversely, I put a new bearing in the front of that same corolla. It is rather simple to do, but I don't have a press so I do the old scholl poor mechanic socket and hammer press

so to sum it up, if you can score the knuckles for a good price and low miles, its easier
