I want my dash to be white, so how would I go about painting the vinyl.

A friend said to sand it down and degrease, spray with body flex, sand down, then paint with the white vinyl paint. What do you think?

 

you'd have better luck getting answers if you post this in appearance/cosmetic.

sand down the vinyl???

I would just have someone build you a complete sheet metal or fiberglass dash to paint

Are you sure you want a white dash? Take some computer paper and place it on your dash for a day. When the sun hits it you won't be able to see a thing. Maybe you should try a little darker color.

 

My Accord got broken into 2 months ago, and among the stolen goods was my OEM nylon looking dash cover. I want to replace it but don't feel like spending $50+ for another one. Know any place where I can get a 'blue print' of a 97 Accord dash cover layout? Want just go buy fabric and learn to use a sewing machine.
