Does anyone have any parts for sale for this car ? It is a 97' but I want the newer tailights , it is missing the armrest , etc. If anyone has any of these parts let me know , thanks.

 

The armrest is specific to each car. You can buy it from Acura but you won't know what # your R is.

You can find the tails in the classifieds forum easily.

IMHO, Leave the 97' alone!

I saw the subject line and thought "how the hell did this guy get a NEW type-r?"

 

I have a set of tailights off my 2000, if yours are in good condition I'd prob do a straight trade. I replaced mine with some 98+ JDM ones.

Can I ask why you want to get rid of yours ? Do you not like that year or what ?

I told you I already have another set on my car, they're the 98+ JDM tailights, so the 00 ones that came on the car are just sitting around.

Unfortunately, my "Extensive" knowledge of finding the number goes as far as the plaque on the factory armrest. If it's not there, I would go to your local dealership, show them your title and proof of registration and give them the VIN number. Maybe some one there would be nice enough to track it down for you or point you in the right direction.

Or maybe some Grand Master (tons of posts ) Honda-Tech guy knows how to look it up. Good luck.

the best thing to do is find the guy it got repoed from and tell him you want the armrest back or else......

onyl very few have "found" the number of there car(this also includes me) but the number is still questionalbe if its the actual number or not.

Cool , thanks for the info. I needed the radio code today and I just called over the phone and they gave me the code. I know alot of people that work at Acura so we will see what happens. Man , I can't believe I finally got this car , I have been trying to purchase one since 1999 , I tried to purchase a yellow one and they sold it in my face a long time ago , purchased a hatch , then an S2k and finally now I got the type-R. Hope to meet alot of people on here !
