Im on my way home today from trying to tune my car as close to good as I can. So im crusing at about 50 on the highway and all i hear vrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooom. Its a type r so I was like nice and kept to myself. Well i get to the intersection light and the ITR pulls right next to me on my left and his lil buddy in a RSX type s is on my right. I dont street race, but i had an itch but decided not to, due to traffic and the ever so frequent cop cars in my town. It wasnt worth it. So i roll down the window and motioned the kid in the ITR, I told him his car was nice and sounded good. You want to know what he replied..better than your piece of ****, he gave me the thumbs down and smacked his rev limiter in neutral, not a good thing. Well light turns green and him and RSX buddy are off like Pam Anderson's top in a home porno. I laughed and went puttering along. I don't understand this I gave him his props and he dissed the GSR..lol. Thats what happens when 18 yr old kids get these cars as gifts from their parents. Sorry had to vent

its okay hes one of those punks that go to e-town and run a 15.4 in an ITR, at least before i got my pistons put in i was hitting 14.7 with little tunning and a shot clutch

 

Not always... I happen to be an 18 yr old whose dad bought him a car b/c I have shown him that I can handle responsibilities and what not. I don't think it's fair for you to generalize 18 yr old's that drive hooked up cars as cocky ****** that talk **** to everyone because not everyone is like that. I do agree that there are many ******** on the road who believe there car is God's gift to motorsports (or what they THINK is motorsport... I wouldn't really consider hitting the rev limiter at a red light "motorsports" but whatever) but it's not always age dependent. All I'm saying is that there are a few of us younger drivers out here that are cool and give props to all types of cars... even when I lose.

On a similar note... NOT all teens whose parents buy them cars are ungrateful, spoiled ****. I can only speak for myself when I say that I am very grateful for what my dad has done for me and understand that a car is not a ******* toy... it's an investment and a huge responsibility that I don't ever take for granted.

i have to agree on that. However, i do have to admit, there are more younger drivers that are like that as opposed to older and more mature drivers.

 

i wasnt generalizing all 18 or young drivers, just that particular punk. I meet younger kids all the time in this scene 99% are cool as hell, the other 1% have their heads up there a$$e$

Tack another one up for an 18 yr old whose parents bought their car. Not all of us are cocky, then again, the MAJORITY are. A lot of kids in my area are bustin on everyone b/c they have the newest stuff, but only b/c their parents bought it for em. My main job right now is my education, so I cant exactly pay for a car with my job as a gas station attendant But I'm grateful, and hope all other foolish teens disappear

 

I'm 18 too, 19 come saturday. I'm not cocky when it comes to my car, but i am confident with the womens :D Btw, I bought my car when I was 17, payed off a week after I turned 18, then turboed it. I have much respect for younger people who buy their own ****, but am envyous of the ones who get their cars bought for them, can't hate you for that.
