1990 2nd gen integra starting problem
wassup everyone, new to this site...i just bought a 1990 integra and it didnt run at all. i changed the spark plug and the original owner said there was a fuel problem. i changed the fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail, and sensors. i saw the gas tank and it was rusted. after doing all of that the car started but always died out. when i tried to step on the gas it takes a long time to respond. i dont think its not getting enough spark. there isnt enough oil in it either...can that be why? the oil is HELLA dirty can that cause the engine to not spark up enough? anyone know how to fix this problem??
If the gas tank is rusted, then chances are the inside is rusted. This could cause the problem you are speaking of. All of that rust may be getting sucked up into the filter on the fuel pump pickup, causing little to no flow. Replace the tank
