What's up... Has anyone mounted Recaro or Bride seats into a Del Sol. If so, do they sit higher than stock? What type of mounting brackets were used? Any pics or info would be appreciated... Thanks!

 

umm there was a user named Mpir3 i believe who had seats in his car but i dont remember which ones, you can pm him and ask

 

they sit higher than the stock seat n if you're 6'0 or taller your head will touch the roof. if you are going to install a rollbar your gonna bump your head on the bar, unless you sit really close to the steering wheel. not sure what brackets to use, contact http://www.sportcarmotion.com they had a pair installed on their project Del Sol.

 

You should check also the weight because i think most bride are a lot lighter than recaro.

my homie has a pair of bride's in his car and i got a pair of recaros...... for me personally i dislike the bride seat and wouldnt own a pair........ but u should just get one that u personally feel comfy in and its good for the kinda driving u gonna be doing..... as far as recaros go i personally love them and would deff continue to buy them

 

This del sol has a set of Recaros, but it says that custom sliders & brackets were made.

He took them out... He's rockin oem Del Sol seats now...

i had a set of dc2r recaros, then swap them for dc5r recaros in my delsol.... they sit higher than the delsol seats as they are very low to start with... i used modified ek9 seat rails...

it's a very snug fit side to side however... had a 5mm clearance from the doors

 

 

If your average size go with what you like. Big guys like myself ain't got to many choices. BTW i squeezed my *** in both of them in a del sol,i like the bride ones personally.
