Default A6 pistons in a DOHC Zc

What would be the pros/cons of doing this type of swap? Since the Vitara pistons are not reccomended in a Zc and pistons/rod combos are upwards of $600, I was just looking into other possibilities

8.230858706920173 CR as calculated by D-Series comp calculator. The problem would be that you still have weak internals.

I'm already force inducted. I blew cause I overheated. I'm not sure that I did any damage to the pistons but I have the head off so I guess I'm already in there so I might as well do the bottom. Plus I didn't like the way the #3 piston looked. (see Pic). Look closely at the bottom of the pic to see what I'm talking about.

some melted aluminum? ouch! 8.2 seems kinda low for FI. i know i know, should be low.. but there is such a thing of too low.. maybe 9:1 just mess around with that calc till u find something u like.

I just took the pistons out of the A6 block and they don't have that dome as the Zc's so that will definitely lower my compression. They're in pretty good shape so I think I'll use them with my Zc rods.

Is it safe to go .020 oversized?

You also said that 8.2CR is kinda low for FI, so why does Enydn sell these pistons?

Taken off the Endyn site:

ZC (43.8 cc) FI 75.5 mm 8.23-8.54:1 19.0 mm 267/80
NA (Low) 75.5 mm 9.68-10.13:1 19.0 mm 252/80
NA (High) 75.5 mm 10.52-11.16:1 19.0 mm 285/80

8.2 though doesn't give you much non-boost power so you will have to raise up the boost level to compensate for the difference of 9.2:1 or so to 8.2:1.
