Hell, the ITR gearing is short! I could make 110kmh (70mph) in 2nd and over 160kmh (105mph) in 3rd gear with my previous Prelude VTEC.

My ITR is stock. The car would probably accelerate more, but there was some traffic on the road, so I had to slow down. Note that I'm an ITR beginner, so I'm still learning her....

Id be lying if I said I had never done this in my R so I cant say ****. Just be careful and I wouldnt make a habit of doing it. Anything happens at that speed, and your dead.

I have in germany. I top out around 250 and the car wasnt shakey or hard to handle. Just cruising along. Topped out around 250

Thats because we dont have speedlimits. You can drive thru europe in 350kmh in six hours on a good day.

probably not the safest thing you've ever done though, now is it?

hard for me to make a legal argument, because you could very well have been on a road that allows much higher speeds, being in Europe..

regardless, with traffic moving much slower than you nearby, this was not safe and you shouldn't have been doing it.. endangering your own life in this way is not smart, but endangering others is assinine..

and to the guy that asked, no, I have never tried to top out either of the ITRs I've had on a public road..

Of course not, but I'm not feeling any bad about this. Maybe it sounds strange in the US, maybe even in the west EU, but everybody I know here in the east EU tries what his car can do, where is it's limit. We have higway speed limit 130kmh (85mph), but everybody drivers 160kmh (100+mph), many cars 200+kmh (130mph). That's just the way it is where I live.

I just wanted to share it with you, but I see you don't like it, I have no problem with it

Oh please, don't make a big deal out of it. In Germany it's normal to drive 200+ km/h, everyone does that and people are used to it, so it's no big deal there....

 

My ITR, by the previous owner, got it up to 155mph on the needle. We all know that is off a bit, but it was also 8400 rpms on the stock tach which is also off. I'd post the video but it's just a bunch of idiots drviing like fools.
