Steering Problem when i turn
I have a bad problem with my 92 Prelude, when i turn to the left or right my car pops real bad and the steering is very tight to turn, it kinda hops a lil while turning, or atleast it feels like it does. I just recently changed my right side cv joint, i know my left side one is bad too, and i think my right lower control arm is bent, but i was driving it like that for a while and nothing went wrong until a few days ago. The car like turns and its like as if the tires slide while turning. My only thoughts are these, maybe the left cv joint is totally gone, popping in and out on the turns?, maybe wheel bearings, lower control arm bent more?, or my transaxle or tranny is gone?, I have no idea, please help cause its non driveable without this prob fixed.
Well...... sounds like the problem is the suspension. Not trying to sound stupid, but leaving probs like that causes alot more problems. You will just have to do an inspection and fix EVERYTHING that is wrong. Do a visual inspection and check your wheel bearings by grabbing your tire (with the car jacked) at 12:00 & 6:00 and rock the wheel in and out. If there is movement your bearings are bad.
If your CV is bad, change it too. Check all your bushings, replace as nessisary and then get an allignment.
EDIT: Re-reading your post, sounds like your cv is seized. Check everything else I said while you are at it.
