Default Intake piping?

Has anyone tried using 3.5inch piping for there intake piping over 3inch, and was there any increase/decrease in power?

anyone? I could see it losing bottem end power but possibly gaining in the top end, it almost seems like it would be better to be a stepped idea starting at a 3.5inch working into a 3inch, any ideas?

3.5inch piping.. thats crazy.
at that point you might as well just not use any piping.

typically 2.75 or 3inch works well.
in NA applications when your trying to max out all options ITB would be next.
