As some of you know, who have been watching, I recently aquired a Type R from Len in Georgia. I'm currently in Seattle visiting relatives before the car, and I fly back to Hawaii for good.

When I picked up the car from Len in Georgia, I drove it across the country back to Seattle. The entire trek was just over 3,800 miles. I first drove from Atlanta along Interstate 20 all the way through Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. In South Western Texas, I jumped onto the 10 and headed West up into New Mexico where I then caught the 70 up North into Arizona.

After visiting with the Parents for a few days I headed off again, heading West again on the 10 then caught the 78 South into California, drove over to San Diego and hung out for a while, checking the surf, then pointed it North and took I5 all the way up.

I'll have details about the trip later when I'm done editing everything. I'm calling it "31 days with 122" so stay tuned for that. Back to this post, I've had the car up here in Seattle for less than a week, and there was finally a pause in the rain to wash it. It was scary dirty. Dead remains of bug guts everywhere. Heres the before and after pics.

My buddy has a gravel drive way in front of the house and he's got five year old twin boys playing out there all the time. I step on this, and it nearly misses my foot. What scares me is one of the boys could have stepped on it probably going through one of their feet.

The story with the door? Len can answer this much better than I. What I got from the brief concersation about it was, the orginal owner in Florida decided to use the R in some light demolition derby and put some moderate dents in the stock door. Kidding. He just abused it a little bit. Rather than go through the hassle of re skinning it, we opted to put on a new door that Len had come across. Some guy in Georgia was parting out his perfectly working 2000 NBP Type R for reasons Len still cannot figure out.

So, for now, I have a Cop door and hang out with the CHP pulling over truckers until she gets resprayed, which probably wont happen until I get back to the Islands. I hate it, yet I like it. It throws the ricers off. I was actually talking with a friend today about leaving it like that, with the front lip missing, the black door on it and the side emblems missing...just to keep people guessing and the thieves looking elsewhere.

I THINK that he just got the car and had to drive it a long way home. Not everone has the luxury of buying a PERFECT ITR. Try reading the thread b4 you comment.

My bro's friend drives a PY 00 ITR and the strange thing is, his ITR is missing the rightside decal.

I think that car is missing a lot more than just a lip and sticker. But very nicely done though, it looks quite clean.

 

Front lip was stolen when the original owner had the car. Rear spoiler was stolen with it, he then introduced the driver side door to the phrase: "I'm going to dent the **** out of you", so when I was in Georgia at Lens house, we replaced it. Im amazed at how well the door and the fenders match. It's perfect.

As for the side emblems, they are both missing, where they went??? Who knows? More than likely on the side of a green four door civic or some **** like that.

That nail in the picture, went through my sock BTW. It almost got my tender little footsie. Darn, I wanted to drive to the hopsital so bad that day!

2) It isn't cool to joke about stealing cars in the ITR forum. Not only is it ridiculously easy to do so, it happens very often.

3) I know reading IS a challenge for some, but you can clearly see right below his Avatar, he's from Hawaii. He even put the name of the City in his name, to make it super-easy for fucktards like you. Plus Dirty CW &gt; your GSR crap. My caR has been way dirtier. And my passenger side door is all dented in (from a tire wall) but who cares.

With all the work that Len and his brother, and his cool *** friends did to that car, before I showed up....I didn't pay enough. That's all I'm saying.

 

stepping on rusty nails sucks man.


Years ago I was doing some yard work and I stepped into a wooden board with a rusty nail right into the heel of my foot.

Took off my shoe and 1/2 my sock was red

Went to the doctors, got a tetnius (sp?) shot for the rusty nail and tip toe'd around on one foot for awhile.
