Default header -> test pipe -> exhaust question!

well i just got my 2.25 inch test pipe in and it looks great. It fits perfectly up to my apexi n1 exhaust but it doesnt match up to my dc cc header. I didnt think it was necessary to modify the collector of the header to fit the test pipe but if it is please tell me. Is there a way to just widen the holes from the collector of the header so that it will bolt up to the test pipe?? This may sound stupid but i figured it would be compatible and if it isnt i would like to know so i can take it to a shop to be modified to 2.25" . thanks

widen the holes? for the bolts? if so, then any muffler shop should/could do that job for you. when i had my h22 dropped in, they widen the holes on my header to bolt up to my cat.

test pipe - mine fit perfectly on my DC header

What you're going to have to do if I understand this correctly is modify one of the flanges. If they aren't the same size flange, you are going to have to modify the collector flange on the DC header or modify the front flange of the test pipe. Most exhaust shops will do this for you rather cheaply.

It will require a little bit of modification however.

Either or. But I would assume that welding a piece onto the test pipe is more cost-friendly. Also, if you ever want to sell the header, you are going to want the header like it came from the manufacturer.
