CAM TUNING
Hey, I am going to be tuning my car on a dyno soon,m so I was just curious about a couple of things. I have the Mugen headgasket, and I have heard that even when the cam gears are at zero, they are slightly off because of the head being closer to the block. Do you guys know how off they are, and which way they are....meaning retarded or advanced. Thanks.

just check the timing at the pulley...line up the mark....take notice what degrees the timing is at...then point the light at the cam gears...
adjust until the 2 lines line up across wise...
And subract the difference...
1 mark on the cam gear is 2 degrees distributor timing.
so if your crank is 20 degrees, and your cam gears are 18 degrees....advance your cam gear 1 tick to get back to 0.
And that takes care of that

well...you could have a kick *** run on the dyno with some really advanced timing...perhaps..
BUT...if you went out road racing your car hard or that likeness..then you might melt a piston because of the hot conditions...
depends...
