ITS BEEN A WEEK......i'm about to hit myself with a hammer.....grrrrrrr!!!
Guys its been a week now...i'm still not getting any luck with my car. i've advance my timing/retarding it from my distributor. checked timing. practically every thing is new on my car. fuel filter...spark plugs distributor assembly, cap and rotor. i'm still getting no luck. it still hesitates and boggs when accelerating from 3k- 6k. yesterday manage to pull my car out of the garage to drive it around a few blocks and next thing i knew...my check engine light goes on. hey!!no way!! then i looked at my ECU code. it was throwing me code#1 which is the oxygen sensor. aha!!thinking in my mind that...that was the cause of hesitation bogging from 3k-6k. went down to the auto part store and purchased me a new oxygen sensor.
after putting the new oxygen sensor.....i'm not still getting any progress. i reseted the ECU to eliminate the code#1. still no progress. drove it around a few blocks again and the problem still exist. (bogging hesitation) i'm not getting any codes. help me out pls. what would be the next to check??all help is greatly appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

You, know what. When i bought my B&M fuel pressure regulator, i decided to run my car lean to help my MPG. When i did that, for the first time ever, my check engine light came on. I looked at the ECU and it was a code 1. I didnt do nothing and kept on driving, my car started to bog around 3K-6K (same as yours). Then i pulled over and adjusted my FPR to a richer setting. After that, check engine light didnt come on again and my car didnt bog anymore. Maybe you should check on you fuel pressure.
Hey VSUAL if you find the problem please do tell me ive had my zc in for a week and mine is doing the same thing.......................i havent gotten any codes either
Yes, most likely something is clogged and making the engine not get enough gas it needs, i know that fuel injectors can get clogged. Get a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and see what it does. Also if you havent bought a fuel filter lately, get one. It runs about $12 for a fuel filter at Honda.
i've done everything....i bought a new fuel filter 2 weeks ago. last week i drained my gas tank...put octane booster and 91 octane gas with the fuel injector cleaner. i've advance my timing still no progress. i'll clean my throttle body sometime this week. to see if any progress.
civicboyzc i'll let you know soon as i figure this damn problem of mine. between 3-5k normal driving.....doesnt hesitate or bog. but when gunning it.....damn car wont cooperate with my foot...lolz. i'll keep you updated. anyone else has something??

you should really check your fuel pressure,wacky fuel pressure will trigger your ECU and your O2 sensor.
what should be the pressure reading on the regulator redracercivic?? is it lack of fuel??i checked all my spark plugs earlier and they are a little black chalky on top of the thread.could that tell me that i'm running/getting less fuel in my combustion? by the ways.....if i do purchased a new fuel pressure regulator at the honda dealer...should i use the 91 SI fuel pressure regulator or the 94 SOHC vtec fuel pressure regulator?? what are the psi for the Si and what is the psi for the 94 SOHC vtec? what psi should i be having??

Yo check your "cat", see if it is all clogged up inside. Also check the inside of the distributor see if the rotor is loose.
b18k1 cat isnt clogged up cause its new. i've only had it since march. rotor??well...thats screwed tight.
Before you go buy stuff, id buy/borrow a Fuel pressure meter that bolts on top of your fuel filter, I THINK normal fuel pressure for the Si is like 40psi give ot take, I dont know(Some one help and correct me!)
I actually need to buy a meter cause right now im guessing and messing with my B&M FPR. But where ever its at right now,must be good cause my check engine light hasnt come on for a coulpe weeks.
