I believe that you get 5whp for each of the spoon socks for the slave cylinder and master cylinder.

2. Magnetic Draing Plugs +3
3. Carbon Fiber Spark Plug Cover +2
4. Wires + 1 +*****

I can't find my dyno charts right now but they were done with the stock FD and FW, on stock tires and wheels.

The only Mods on the Car were the Comptech Intake, Spoon 4-2-1 Header and Carsound cat with Stock catback and it posted a consistant 172 WHP and 123 pf Torque. That was peak and I need to find the graphs to compare and see the difference again.

So I'd say there were nice gains as opposed to stock numbers.

My car also happens to be one of the freak stronger than normal ones as well though.

Actually, you might want to find that graph since I tend not believe those low numbers since my car posted the numbers above with just I+H.

Just to clarify i didnt say spoon stuff sucks, i myself own several spoon bling parts. None of which have too much function other than maybe the calipers...

However i can not justify paying soo much for a spoon header or that little CF intake thing they got for the EK, whatever the **** its called, or their cams, or their OEM pistons etc etc. for their minimal gains, where that money can be put elsewhere, that will yield much better gains.

theres an answer/reason for this: FIA Group N

basically...

who shouldn't consider Spoon?
- drag racers
- people on tight budget or DIY
- people who want a high power setup, N/A or Turbo
- people who don't care about or aren't sensitive to subjective intangibles such as driving feel or engine response

Lets run thru your list...

<- not a drag racer
<- Not on a tight budget or DIY,
<-Do not want or have a high power set up (currently at 210-215whp and pletny satisfied)
<-has awsome driving feel and outstanding engine response.

However i do not own a single spoon product that goes on the drive train, other than the calipers which dont matter.

Your list does make plenty sense..but is not necessarily true, Now if you need to meet certain rules and regulations for a circuit, and have few options, MAYBE, but i doubt the creator of this thread is bound for that in the near future.

As far as that dyno is concerned..i honestly do no believe a single dyno that Jeff has been a part of, can someone say BIAS??

I bought my spoon steering wheel simply for looks... not for any other reason whats so over, other than it was a very attractive steering wheel... oh, and it matches the rest of my red-stitch interior (Recaros, rear jdm itr seats, shift boot).

And I'm just fine with that.

I can agree, with that being the dyno. But one must wonder if it was tuned properly, and or what else was omitted from the mod list, IE Dyno, Corrected or not, conditions, etc... Thanks for sharing, I do remember that from awhile back though.

I remember a relatively burning post accompanying the above dyno. Who is Jeff and care to share the circumstances you remember? This wasn't the AJ racing car was it?

Good for you.

Ichy's a little guy who made it good, still gets out there and races himself when he can, never fails to do his duty advising people in the sport, and still does his best to move the sport and the hobby ahead whenever possible.

Unfortunately for him, he has become an icon of the hobby, a member of the New Establishment.

He is, therefore, easy to hate if you're a new person who really doesn't have any idea how he did everything the hard way when nobody knew anything.

I am embarrassed, now that I think of it, that I don't own more Spoon parts. I have Spoon 16x7 wheels and front and rear tower bars. That's all I can think of right now.

After noticing the ill founded hate, however, I am tempted to run out and buy stuff just to support somebody who's done more for the sport and more for the hobby than most of us could even dream about.

It is gonna be hard to find numbers fore Spoon products...I think whoever paid the amount of money for their engine parts is probably to embarrassed to post the numbers
