F23A1 - Auto to Manual Swap
I've come to the conclusion after ordering my turbo manifold (sfp), that I'm gonna go ahead and bite the bullet, and do the auto / manual swap. I don't have the experience, time, or equiptment to do the job myself, but from what I've "heard' (online), the job should take about 1500$ to do. The main question, where should I go to look for parts, who should I get to do the job, and specifically should I just stick w/ the F23A1 Manual transmission for ease of install? Is it possible to just have Honda order me a new transmission / wiring / etc? Thanks alot.
Reasons why I decided to swap -
1. After blowing a hose on automatic tranny, its starting to slip a little, which I can imagine will only expotentially increase after the turbo is installed.
2. More power + stronger for turbo.
3. I'll save money overall by not having to do the Level10 tranny upgrades.
4. AEM EMS only works on manuals, and being able to tune w/ AEM completely solves my AFC / FMU issues.
5. Manuals = FUN!
-Btw I posted this on Honduh.com / AD.com as well, please don't flame. Thanks. Yes, I know how to search too.
