story goes like this- a friend of mine who lives in chile, goes to school in indiana, left for the summer (last summer). over the summer, his roomate crashed his car AND blew up his motor. roomate promised to pay to replace it, but the atf recently busted into their apartment and arrested his roomie, who now sits in jail. he lives off campus, which is a 3+ hour walk, but being that he is not a citizen, has very limited access to transportation and work oppertunites in the states (he only has a student visa, no green card or otherwise). he has a few hundred bucks to spend, and needs a d16 (just the longblock, rest of his stuff is fine). it MUST be in the chicagoland area, as he does not have the time or the funds to ship a motor. some local friends have kindly donated their time to do the swap, however he still needs a functioning motor. anyone who reads this, please bump it and keep it visible! thanks h-t.. i know you'll come through for him!

stupid roomate blew up his motor, NEEDS a replacment d series motor preferably a d16y8, but if need be he can deal with something else obd2. he doesnt need labor or a shop, just a longblock, and with his very limited funds, shop prices are out of his range.

 

uhh, dude, shops usually throw those things out if they have too many of them. If you are in such desperate need, I wouldn't limit your options by not calling someone.
