Default Looking for new subs for my car

Currently i only have 1 12", but im looking into either getting 2 jl w3v2s, 2 type rs, both 12"", or 3 mtx6000s 10". I listen to rap so i was leaning towards the 12s and having them run off a jl 500/1, but im also open to an suggestions.

Thanks,
Nick

kick that up to 1 adire 15" brahma..gotta give it around 1000watts though (1600watt rms but thats thermal) so 700-1000watts should be good and you will boom. also check out RE (resonant engineering) their XXX line...brahma and XXX are similar subs, although XXX has a larger xmax(excursion). both are very high quality, a lot higher than alpine, even jl.

buy another on of the 12's you already have, so you don't waste money, then get a slot vented box. save money and it'll pound.

2 12w3v2's on a JL 500/1 will sound awesome, I've even put 3 of them on the 500/1 and it sounded amazing.

Sorry to catch you on the technicality, but that sub doesn't exist....

Shivas are 12"
Tempests are 15"

if you go with 3 subs or 2, invest in (or build yourself) custom box.

alpine type Rs are the best bang for ur buck u can get 2 in a vented box for only $275.if u want some real power tho do what i did and stick to just one sub. make sure it is an mtx 9500d though and u need an exact amp to power it correctly its an mtx801d thunder

whatever u do just dont get JLs unless there W7s because u will be unsatisfied with the rumble of w3s

Just too throw my two cents.I had 2 12w6v2s and they sound damn good and only half the price of a dub7.

I feel the best SUB out there right now are the Kicker solabarics (spelling?)
they are square so they have more surface area. they are also dual voice coil so they never miss a beat :-D

If you get a 12" solabaric, it will hit like you have 2 15's.

Yes very true, and you will have good sound quality at the same time.

You get what you pay for, especially in car audio.
And for what you get, I'd honestly say JL is underpriced.

I have to strongly disagree with you. I have a 12" kicker L7. And it is nowhere near as nice as my friends JL 12w6v2. I put my sub into his vehicle, tuned it and it honestly wasn't near as nice as his 12w6v2. And it sucks to know your sub does not sound as good as your friends...lol

I've been very inpressed with all the w6v2's I've installed in customer's cars as well
